A simple photo slideshow is a display of a series of chosen images, which is done for artistic purposes.

Photo slideshow often have a lot more features than simply showing the pictures. Except photos it is also possible to add transitions, pan and zoom effects, background music, narrations, captions, etc. By using Flash one therefor has the ability to enhance pictures in a way that isn't otherwise possible.
